Resources for Landowners

Habitat creation and enhancement projects with substantial sustained benefits to Black Rails are a priority for several cost-share programs in South Carolina. Examples include the USFWS Coastal Program and USFWS Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program. Organizations such as Ducks Unlimited and the Atlantic Coast Joint Venture may be able to assist with applications for funding through North American Wetlands Conservation Act Grants. The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) also supports practices that benefit Black Rails in South Carolina.
